Eave & Overhang Repair
Most roof carpentry jobs are really eave jobs. The fascia, the soffit, the rafter tails and the gutters are one assembly, and when one part fails the others usually follow.
Why the whole eave gets addressed
Replacing one rotted component inside a failing assembly buys a year or two. Addressing the eave as a unit — including whatever let the water in — is what stops the cycle.
It is also cheaper per foot than returning three separate times for three separate components.
Typical scope
- Fascia and soffit replaced where rotted
- Rafter tails repaired or sistered
- Drip edge added or corrected at the roof edge
- Gutters rehung with correct pitch, or replaced if they caused the damage
- Vent openings restored so the attic can breathe
Common questions
Can you repair just one section of eave?
Yes, and often that is the right call. We scope by what is actually rotted plus whatever caused it — we do not price a whole-house job when one run is the problem.
